Papoušík etiopský, neboli agapornis etiopský ( Agapornis taranta ), je převážně zeleně zbarvený pták z řádu papoušků z rodu papoušík ( Agapornis ). S délkou těla 16,5 cm je největší ze všech žijících druhů agapornisů. Samce lze od samice lehce rozpoznat díky výrazně červenému čelu, které samice nemají.

Agapornis (Selby, 1836) is a genus that comprises of seven species of lovebirds from the smallest, the Lilian's Lovebird (Agapornis lilianae) (length = 13 cm; body mass = 37 g) to the largest of all, the Abyssinian Lovebird (Agapornis taranta Stanley, 1814 length = 16.5 cm; body mass = 58 g) (Marez 2003).
